In 2002, Julie started both her real estate career and co-founded Domicile Properties, having no idea that those two things didn’t usually happen at the same time. That first year, Domicile Properties closed 40 transactions, and when she finally came up for air, she realized that she loved real estate and that Domicile Properties’ had created a unique and visionary place in the San Francisco real estate market. She believed that creating a small brokerage afforded the co-founders an opportunity to create cutting-edge branding and a compelling vision. The basic principles have remained the same: to only sell homes we believe in, to be fiercely honest, to bring style and creativity to every listing, that the small things matter as much as the large ones, and that every client matters.
Julie’s goal was for Domicile to be the biggest small company in San Francisco. She and her partners accomplished that goal, but in 2016, a call came from Compass, the first technology and design-fueled real estate brokerage in the world. Domicile couldn’t resist joining Compass in building the future of real estate. With this change, the Domicile Properties team now has both the personal touch that defines their brand, and the reach, support, and technology to ensure that their clients get the best of everything.
